Gainesville, Florida, (Map) is located on the North central plain of the state, 50 miles east of the Gulf of Mexico, 60 miles west of the Atlantic Ocean and 70 miles south of the Georgia border. Three major highways serve Gainesville: Interstate 75, U.S. 301 and U.S. 441. Currently three major airlines, Delta Airlines, US Air, and Northwest Air service Gainesville with approximately 12 inbound and outbound commercial passenger flights per day. Gainesville Regional Airport (GNV), located in the northeast quarter of the city, is the principal commercial airport for a nine-county area. In addition to flying directly to Gainesville, visitors may find flying into Tampa (TPA), Orlando (MCO), or Jacksonville (JAX) and travel to Gainesville via rental car to be more economical than direct flight in and out of Gainesville.

Arriving by car from I-75

Take Exit #75. Turn east on Archer Road heading towards Gainesville and the University of Florida. Go approximately 1 mile to SW 34th Street, turn left (north) and go approximately 0.7 of a mile and the hotel will be the 7 story building on the left.

Gainesville Airport (approximately 15 minutes)

Exit airport and turn right, westbound on N. E. 39th Ave. (State Rd. 222). Proceed approximately 6 miles to the intersection of N. W. 39th Ave. and N. W. 34th St. (State Rd. 121). Proceed south for approximately 4 miles the University of Florida Hotel & Conference Center. The Conference Center is located on the left at 1714 S. W. 34th St.

Jacksonville Airport (approximately 2 hours)

Alternate 295 south to I-10 west for 13 miles to the US 301 interchange. Take US 301 south 49 miles to the SR 24 exit. Take SR 24 southwest 12 miles to the Gainesville City limits. Pass the airport area and take a right on to 39th Avenue (State Rd. 222). Proceed West on 39th Avenue to the intersection of 39th Avenue and 34th Street (State Rd. 121). Take a left onto 34th Street and proceed for about 4 to 5 miles to the intersection of Hull Road and SW 34th Street. The hotel will be on the right-hand side.

Orlando Airport (approximately 2 hours)

At the airport ask for directions to the Florida Turnpike northbound. The Florida Turnpike will merge with I-75 northbound. Take the second Gainesville exit (exit #75) off of I-75. Turn right onto Archer Rd. (State Rd. 24) proceed approximately 1.5 miles to S. W. 34th St. (State Rd. 121). Turn left at the intersection of S. W. 34th St. and Archer Rd. Travel north on S. W. 34th Street approximately .7 of a mile. The Conference Center is located on the left at 1714 S. W. 34th St.

Tampa Airport (approximately 2 hours)

At airport ask for directions to I-75 northbound. Take the second Gainesville exit (exit #75) off of I-75. Turn right onto Archer Rd. (State Rd. 24) proceed approximately 1.5 miles to S. W. 34th St. (State Rd. 121) Turn left at the intersection of S. W. 34th St. and Archer Rd. Travel north on S. W. 34th Street approximately .7 of a mile. The Conference Center is located on the left at 1714 S. W. 34th St.
