- Legal Issues in Meeting Planning
Ben Tesdahl, Esq.- This session will be developed by the conference participants.
- Mr. Tesdahl will address legal issues that conference attendees would like to hear discussed, with any appropriate “war stories” of situations they have specifically faced where things went wrong from a legal point of view.

- The Life of an RFP
Moderated by Betty Ann Lewis, Sales Manager, Royal Plaza Hotel in the Walt Disney World Resort- This is an interactive discussion with both planner and supplier participation. It will begin with a sales team reviewing some new RFP's and explaining why hoteliers bid on some RFP's and not on others. This will generate a discussion of why hotels bid and don't bid, what is a "good" piece of business and what is not. Planners will participate by explaining (discussing) what they look for in a hotel, hot buttons, concessions, etc. The goal of this workshop is to see an RFP through a planners eyes and a suppliers eyes and see if we can educate each other on how we each look at an RFP.

She also served two years as secretary on the SGMP National Board. She also is a featured columnist for The Advantage, the Society of Government Meeting Professionals quarterly magazine.
