Pre-college summer program for high school students to learn about entrepreneurship, leadership and community service for six weeks (June 29 - August 8, 2008). Students will take two college-level courses: GEB4930 - Exploring Entrepreneurship and SYG2010 - Social Problems, they will also complete 75 hours of community service, which will meet the requirement for Florida Bright Futures Scholarships. There will also be activities and events outside the class which will integrate academic class room learning with interactive experiences, such as a Speaker Series, field trips to an Entrepreneurship Incubator, an evening with Gator Athletes and workshops on how to apply for college. The program will culminate with an awards banquet lunch on the last day, recognizing the students for their leadership and entrepreneurial spirit.
Select either payment in full of $6000.00 or the deposit amount of $500.00 please do not select both. If you are choosing to pay only the deposit; the balance of $5500.00 is due in full on June 29, 2008.
Cancellation Policy: Students/parents will be responsible for any program fees ($50.00 application fee, $500.00 deposit , and the $5500.00 program balance) and that no refunds of program costs will be made after the program registration on June 29, 2008. If cancellation occurs prior to program registration, all program fees paid will be refundable except the $50.00 application fee and the $500.00 deposit.
Students can withdraw from the entire program by notifying the program director by the deadline prior to the start of the program. Once the program has begun, in extenuating circumstances, students may withdraw from the entire program (and return home), at the agreement of the parents and program director, at any point during the program, without refund.
