Optional Add-on Courses and Fees

For each optional course (two max.) selected, students must complete 40 clinical hours at a pre-approved model site with a pre-approved clinical instructor, for 2 credits. 60 hours, for 3 credits; 80 hours, for 4 credits; 100 hours, for 5 (max) credits. Detailed self-analyses must be turned in monthly along with unit teaching plans and supervisor signatures. The optional courses can only be selected if the student has completed the on-site prerequisite “Motor” workshop, May 11-12, 2006

For an additional $100.00 per course, the cost of UF credit, and Dr. Stopka’s approval, you may choose additional topics: Physical Education and Sports for Students with Mental Deficiencies; Coaching Techniques for Athletes with Disabilities; or Adapted Aquatics.
