OER Workshops
Apr. 26 - May 17, 2008
Welcome
The Office of Educational Research (OER) in the College of Education is pleased to offer a series of short courses designed for faculty, students, and professionals who wish to broaden their research skills. We offer instruction using an interactive, “hands-on” learning approach. Course instructors will share best practices and offer tips based on their extensive experience. Our focus is on teaching practical skills that are critically needed in conducting research but not often taught in the classroom setting.
This spring the OER educational series includes one day short courses on SAS programming, survey methodology, and SPSS. The SAS Basics workshop will provide a step by step guide for using SAS software. The Survey Methodology Basics workshop covers all the steps in planning and implementing a survey project. SPSS Basics offers instruction on the fundamentals needed to analyze research data using SPSS.
These one day courses will be offered on a yearly or semi-yearly basis and are open to all. We look forward to providing learning opportunities on a variety of topics that are essential for today’s researcher.
