Registration Information

Thank you for registering to attend the College of Veterinary Medicine’s Referring Veterinarian Appreciation Day, to be held in Gainesville, Florida on Saturday, July 18, 2009. We look forward to welcoming you to Gainesville and the University of Florida. The following information will assist your smooth arrival into “Gator Country”:

Location: Referring Veterinarian Appreciation Day will be held at the University of Florida Hilton Hotel and Conference Center, 1714 S.W. 34th Street., Gainesville, FL 32607

Directions to the Hilton: From US 441 (13th Street), Turn West on Archer Rd. Turn Right on 34th Street (big intersection between CVS & Shell). Go through 2 Traffic Lights. Turn Left at the 3rd Traffic Light into the Hilton. From I-75, (Exit #384) Travel East on Archer Road for approximately 1 mile. Turn Left on 34th Street (big intersection between CVS & Shell). Go through 2 Traffic Lights. Turn Left at the 3rd Traffic Light into the Hilton. There is plenty of parking at the hotel.

Parking: Ample free parking is available at the Hilton Hotel and Conference Center.

Check-in:. Program check-in will be held at the registration area inside the Conference Center between 7:30 and 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 18th. You will receive your packet of materials and a nametag. The conference starts at 8:30am.

Meals and Refreshments: Continental breakfast and lunch is included, along with a coffee break at 10:40 a.m. Please join us Saturday night, July 18th at 5:30pm for a reception sponsored by Webster Veterinary Supply. This reception will also be held at the Hilton Hotel and Conference Center (1714 SW 34th Street) If you have not RSVP’d for this event, please let me know as soon as possible.

Pharmacology Session: The pharmacology session is from 3:30-5:30pm. You will need to sign in before the session and provide your license number on the sign-in sheet.

CEU’s: CEU certificates will be provided at the end of the Conference. If you plan on attending the Pharmacology Session CEU certificates will be provided after that session.

Dress: Casual. You may wish to bring a sweater, as the meeting rooms are sometimes cold.
